Terms and Conditions
By submitting your driving lesson enquiry through the Titanium Driving Academy (TDA) official website, Facebook page, over the phone, or via SMS to your Instructor, you agree that you understand and accept the Terms and Conditions related to the provision of driving lessons with your TDA Driving Instructor.
Your driving instructor may also ask you to sign a copy of our Driving Lesson Terms & Conditions, which can be found on the inside cover of the last page of your Pupil Handbook.
All pupils should be aware that all TDA Instructors are self-employed franchisees of the company and that lesson prices are set independently by each instructor.
TDA is not liable for any payments made directly by the pupil to the instructor, as TDA does not receive these funds.
- Pupils must be at least 17 years old to take driving lessons according to UK law.
- Pupils must confirm they hold a valid driving licence to drive TDA’s tuition vehicles. Pupils must notify their Instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their driving licence during their period of tuition.
- Pupils must give their Instructors at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel a driving lesson. If the Pupil fails to do so, they are responsible for paying the full lesson fee.
- Pupils must pay each lesson to their instructor no later than the day before it is scheduled. This payment should be made via online bank transfer. Your instructor will provide you with these details before your lessons commence.
- TDA and its Instructors reserve the right to alter the hourly lesson rate at any time for new driving lesson bookings. Instructors should give reasonable prior notice to Pupils.
- Pupils and their Instructors must agree in advance on the duration of any driving lesson(s). If, for reasons beyond the Instructor’s control, it is not possible to complete the whole duration of a lesson, any remaining time will be carried over to a subsequent lesson. It is the Pupil’s responsibility to ensure this is recorded in the pupil handbook or through another written method.
- Instructors may sometimes need to reschedule lessons at short notice, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility with these changes.
- Pupils must pass the DVSA eyesight check before beginning their driving lessons. Instructors are required to cancel driving lessons if pupils fail this assessment.
- Instructors are entitled to refuse to continue with a driving lesson if they suspect that a pupil is under the influence of alcohol or drugs in any way.
- Instructors will endeavour to teach their pupils the correct driving skills according to the recommended syllabus issued by the DVSA within the minimum number of driving lessons required.
- Pupils should understand that their Instructor’s main goal is to promote road safety, and in doing so, they may need to take control of the vehicle. Instructors will strive to teach Pupils to the highest standard. However, they cannot be held responsible for any mistakes Pupils make while driving alone with or without their Instructor, whether before or after passing their driving test.
- The Instructor accepts no liability for accidents, injury, or damage to any Third Party caused by the Pupil’s recklessness or negligence during a lesson.
- Driving tests can only be arranged with prior agreement from both the Instructor and the Pupil.
- Instructors reserve the right to fully withhold the use of their tuition vehicle for a driving test.
- Pupils must pay their TDA Instructor directly for the use of their tuition vehicle and for the time spent travelling to and from the test centre for a driving test. Payment for sitting a practical driving test is made directly to the DVSA; however, this does not cover the use of a tuition vehicle.
- Any complaints should be handled in accordance with the ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) Code of Practice.
- If the Pupil agrees, the Instructor may take photographs or videos of the Pupil after their Driving Test and request a Customer Review. The Pupil will receive the review request via SMS or email from the Instructor, TDA, or Third-Party Review companies such as Trustpilot.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
- Instructors may establish their own additional driving lesson terms and conditions for their Pupils, beyond those stated here. These will only be valid if the pupil physically signs the agreement.
- TDA reserves the right to alter and update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the TDA Facebook Page or the official website.
I hereby confirm that I have fully read, understood, and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions set out by TDA above. I either consent or do not consent (delete which is not applicable) to my Instructor taking photographs or videos after my Driving Test, or to requesting a review.
